NO NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE COLUMN HOUSING. The Lock Cylinder is easily removed. You must have the key to the lock you are removing. Turn key to the on position. Use a large Paper clip size wire ( i unfold the paper clip) to poke in the small hole on top of housing. This will release the spring wedge on the lock cylinder and it will pop out.
