1930's Mercury Light Switch/horn Button ???

I have been told this steering wheel mounted light switch (horn button surround) is possibly for a 1936-37 Mercury. I talked to a guy who had both a Ford and a Mercury piece, he claimed the Mercury piece was smaller than the Ford piece. Since I also have both a Ford and Mercury piece, this is the smaller of the two. This piece measures about 3 1/4" outside diameter, and the center hole the horn button drops down into (not included) measures 1 7/8" diameter. This piece appears to have zero damage...
