You are purchasing a factory-original steering wheel horn ring for the 1941 Mercury passenger cars. The casting is in excellent condition with no cracks, bends, nicks, or any other flaws or issues. There are a few random surface pits, primarily on the top of the hub. None are burnt into the casting, so this ring would re-chrome very nicely.
