Mustang / Cougar Steering Column Lower Bearing Kit The Mustang / Cougar steering column bearing retainer slides into the bottom end of the steering column. You do not have to use anything to retain the assembly if your steering shaft has a c-clip at the top to keep the shaft from sliding downward. The assembly is a tight fit in the column, so it won't move on its own. Fits any column with 2-1/8" ID and 1" shaft diameter.
