This is most likely a runner. I bought this auto carb and a standard 54 merc 4 bl as a pair. I put the standard 4 bl on my 54 ford y block with Edelbrock intake and it runs fine. I see that the Ebay program has added "SPONSORED by 1954 FORD"----------------------I do not know how good this carb would work on the 54 ford police interceptor engine, theonly 1954 ford 4 bl car I know of....
