After more than 40 years accumulating stuff in my garage I have decided it is time to try and thin it out a bit ! I have finally recognised I have more "projects" than I have time available to complete them. I think this is for MG Midget and Sprite ? They are apparently from a splined hub spoked wheel car. Good splines at each end. They appear straight when rolled on the workbench. One shaft has a slight step which you can detect when you run your nail over it, I am not sure if this is where it ...
