This is a vintage Chevrolet "Cool Pack" underdash/tunnel mounted A/C unit. This recently came from an estate sale so I don't have any history on it. From what I can tell, this was a factory optional accessory on 1958-1960 Chevrolet models. I imagine is was also available on other GM models with a different emblem in the center.
