This is a vintage Sun 7,000 rpm tachometer. The model number is RC-70. The Sun RC70 tach was available as a factory option on 1961 Chevrolet fullsize cars and was also available as an aftermarket accessory/speed part from parts stores, performance shops, and dealer parts counters in the early to mid 60's. These tachs could be mounted in a model NC-3 chrome housing, also known as a pinch cup which allowed the owner to mount the tach on a steering column, dash top, under dash, center console, etc....
