This is a very old Stewart Warner 4,000 RPM tachometer. The model number printed on the back is 557R and the date code is N4. The date decodes as April, 1945. This tach has the script logo which I believe was found in the 30's and 40's. A 4,000 rpm tach back in those days was very rare and was reserved for more high performance applications.
