Please correct me if I’m wrong, but after much Googling this appears to be a one year only fuel filler fitted to the Triumph TR250. Some sources said it might have also been fitted to the very early TR6. It is a very large cap, over 4” wide, with a 2” filler hose. The flip top is aluminum alloy with a steel magnetic insert. I spent 5 minutes on a buffer and it shined up nicely but you could improve it a bit with a bit more elbow grease....
