Carter No 988 Fuel Pump Possibly For International Harvester Scout Unknown Year

I have for sale a fuel pump that's marked Carter, Number 988. There are a couple other markings though they're nearly impossible to make out. One on the collar in which the lever part attaches seems to read "4437?" but the last three numbers are so faint it's impossible to figure them out. I'm fairly certain it fits an IH Scout of some sort because this came from an estate of a guy who pretty much exclusively worked on Scouts and there were tons of other NOS scout items present.
