This is the backing ring that holds the top oil rail o-ring into the injector. It will go between the injector o-ring and the snap ring at the top of the injector. They are known to crack and a replacement is not available in the aftermarket or O.E. Manufacturer. Until now, if the ring broke, or you lost this piece you had to buy a new injector to get it.
