The stock cupholders on the BMW 3 series (E36) line are almost unusable for modern drinks and cups - too narrow in the lowest part and not high enough where they are wide enough to actually hold modern cups (Yeti) and beverage cans. This adapter insert fixes this by filling in the steps on the stock cupholder and gives a flat surface on the very bottom for the can/cup to sit.
