Mercedes Benz Ponton left (driver's) side below hood aluminum trim. It looks same as the one on my 1954 180. Later 180's and 190s use a different piece. There are at least three different variations of this part. Look at the photographs carefully. It is the lowest piece of the three. Left & right are as seen from the rear of the car.
